In memory of Alan
Description: This one was written by my Grand mother in memory of Alan Barns, an old friend of hers.
Written: Dec 7th, 1993.
Alan you finally stepped aboard that old ship of yours. It must have been a glorious sight when you heard the captain say Alan get on board, it won't pass this way again and you can step on board because he's blood cleansed you from all sin. I'm so glad you could step aboard and sail away home with Jesus. That boat was not a fishing boat, but I know it was far better than any fishing boat you had ever seen in this world. I believe karen and your mother in law and many others was just waiting for that old ship to come and dock so they could welcome you home at last. Who knows, you may be fishing on the prettiest water ever. Along the dew that falls upon the rose when the morning sun doeth shine. Brings out a beauty of tiny drops like beads of oil and wine. Alan, I know you left us and went home to our father today, but your life will be remembered. To cause others to be saved, I believe your now on streets of gold. Every tear brushed from your eyes and all pain and suffering and sorrow gone. Yes your finally home with Jesus. The word tells us that he would go away and prepare a place for us and will come again to receive us unto himself that where he is can be also. Here you knew in part but there I believe you can know all. Thank god you made him your choice that was the greatest and best decision you or anyone will ever make.
